The newest Microsoft Operating System, code named "Windows 7", plans to give users the ability to control the computer with the touch of their fingertips.
This Operating System is said to surpass the touch capabilities of the Apple Inc. iPhone. Touch controls would be used as an alternative for the keyboard and mouse. Microsoft Windows 7 is said to be available by late 2009 YouTube preview of the Windows 7 OS YouTube - Windows 7 seven First Official Video Here is a relevant article if you wish to learn more about the new Windows OS. The one thing that has always work for Microsoft is marketing, God bless them they don't know much of anything else, the last thing I want on my monitor is sticky fingures if you know what I mean

Well, without the keyboard and mouse you have room for Windex and paper towels.

Bad idea in my opinion. Ever tried using a computer with a mouse but no keyboard? It works just fine until you need to type up an email or do anything involving text entry. It works just fine for the iPhone, but you don't usually need to do much data entry on a phone.
I also agree with Abe, I've got a phone with a touchscreen and I clean the screen just about every time I take the phone out of the case. Touchscreens are nice, but I don't see them being viable as a primary means of input. |

This would be like a big iphone you lug around with built in keyboard, you eleminated the mouse and keyboard why don't you just eleminate the monitor now and just plug in.

Even though there would be the mess of smudges and whatnot, I'm sure that there will be a smudge/scratch resistant film for the screens. maybe even a on screen keyboard that you can type with. Or, you can buy a laser keyboard much like this
![]() got any ideas of where you would stick the plug?? ![]()
