After opening Kmail, go into settings | configure kmail | account
In Recieving Tab, Add, IMAP Login is Username@gmail.com Password Host imap.gmail.com Port 993 Check box to Store Imap password(Optional) Check box to Enable interval mail checking(Optional) -Security Tab Encryption SSL for secure mail download Authentication Method Clear text In Sending Tab, Add SMTP Host smtp.gmail.com Port 465 Check box Server requires authentication Check box Store SMTP password(Optional) -Security Tab Encryption TLS Authentication Method Login Exit out and check mail ! I was using Kmail that comes with Fedora 7 at the time of this writing. If you got any other mail client link for settings below. Have fun emailing.
